Motion

The motion is captured by the gyroscope sensors as a force in three-dimensional space. In this way, not only the direction of motion, speed and acceleration are recorded, but also the force required to execute the motion.

The gyroscope sensors measure the force acting on the body moving in rotation inside the sensor. This enables the speed and acceleration of the motion, the direction of motion and the acting forces to be recorded.

Speed

The speed of the motion provides information about how fast a motion is executed at a certain point in time. Together with the change of this speed, i.e. the acceleration, the execution of this motion as a whole can be analyzed.

Direction

The recording of the direction of motion, together with the data from VORN Motion, provides a view of the motion sequence.

Force

Finally, the forces acting on the motion are also recorded. These are used to determine the force required to execute the motion.

Altitude

The measurement of the barometric height is accurate up to +/- 100 mm and provides exact information about the altitude of a route or a location.

The barometric height is calculated using the air pressure at the measurement location. The influence of other parameters on the air pressure is compensated for through a variety of methods. This enables an accurate measurement, which is continuously adjusted and calibrated with the measurement data from the integrated GPS.

State-of-the-art GPS components make it possible to determine a position to within a few centimeters and therefore provide an even more precise view of the location or route.

The data from the GPS trackers is analyzed using high-precision algorithms and enables real-time recording of geometric information with an accuracy of a few centimeters. From this information and using further parameters, relevant sport-scientific conclusions can be reached.

The position is recorded at all times and shows the location at a specific point in time.

Distance

The recording of the position over a period of time results in a map of the distance covered.

Transmit

The data is transmitted live and cryptographically encrypted to the secure server. There is no need for manual transmission or the use of security-critical additional devices.

The VORN Core is the world's first IoT device that transmits data from end to end in encrypted form and in real time. To achieve this, the built-in GSM and Wi-Fi functionality are used. If the connection is lost, the data is stored and automatically transmitted at a later time.

Comfort

The data is transmitted automatically. No manual transmission is necessary and the data can be viewed in real time.

Security

The encryption of the data from the VORN Core to the server provides the best possible protection against unauthorized access or manipulation.

The special micro-openings of the Perflow-structure make the VORN Aerial elastic and stable at the same time.

The woven-in silicone sensors do not require cables or electrodes. This means that the VORN Aerial can also be washed very easily.

A three-dimensional recording of the heart activity via a medically usable ECG with up to 22 channels is the data basis of the fundamental parameters for the optimal training load.

The muscular contraction of the heart is triggered by electrical impulses. The current that flows can be measured on the skin surface. The VORN system records an ECG in accordance with medical standards and can achieve high-quality measurement results using the large number of channels. The system can be used as a diagnostic resting, stress or long-term ECG and offers a comprehensive analysis of heart activity.

Pulse

The pulse is the result of the mechanical, rhythmic expansion and contraction of the vascular walls and provides information about the heart rate when viewed over time.

The intervals between individual heartbeats are recorded to the nearest millisecond and are used as the basis for determining heart rate variability. As a metric for the adaptability of the organism, it is an important parameter for health and performance.

A silicone sensor band on the chest records respiratory performance, providing key metrics on lung performance and oxygen uptake.

Respiratory performance is measured in terms of respiratory volume and respiratory rate via a sensor band on the chest. The volume is the primary metric for assessing the metabolic parameters. From these, the general training condition and individual performance can be concluded.

Respiratory volume

The respiratory volume takes into account the air volume during inhalation and exhalation and the vital capacity of the lungs. This figure shows the difference in volume between maximum inhalation and maximum exhalation and therefore the maximum capacity of the lungs that can be utilized.

The respiratory rate describes the number of breaths within a certain period of time, usually one minute.

Body temperature

Body temperature is measured continuously to monitor thermoregulation during physical exertion.

Body temperature

The monitoring of body temperature is a useful parameter for physical performance, especially during sporting activities. The body's temperature regulation system works at full speed during physical exertion and tries to compensate for the generated heat. Body temperature is divided into core body temperature and body surface temperature.

Body surface temperature

The temperature of the body surface or skin is strongly dependent on the ambient temperature and the activity state of the muscles. It is also influenced by the core body temperature.

Core body temperature

The core body temperature is kept mostly constant by the organism through thermoregulation. In very hot weather or during physical activity, it can rise to between 38°C and 39°C. This increases energy consumption, but also promotes performance.

VORN Motion extends the measuring system with additional versatile measuring points. The compact inertial sensors capture the three-dimensional motion, acceleration and acting forces at the respective measuring point.

The motion sensors make motions visible. The versatility of the sensors also makes them suitable for other applications, such as for use on sports equipment.

The inertial sensors from VORN Motion measure rotational and translational acceleration. They extend the measurement data from the sensors in the VORN Core by using additional measuring points to capture all your motion sequences.
